Back to Idaho and ‘visited’ the GSM of Sawtooth Winery. The lighter body style wine actually paired quite well with our bbq chicken. The sauce amplified the spice and the dark red fruit notes in the wine. Very pleasant finish. — 4 years ago

Simple, a bit sweet, stone and tropical fruit flavors, and no off tastes. This was a lovely aperitif camping in the Sawtooth mountains of Idaho. Was also pleasing with the trout I caught and cooked in camp. The snobs are wrong. Idaho! 89. — a year ago

Bold fruity taste, not much bite from the carbonation. Label reads 'crisp, fruity'. Berry forward flavor, would go better with red wine leaning foods rather than white. Has the dryness of a white but the fruitiness of a red, pair with fruits, tomatoes, and other red foods. — 7 years ago

Bright and clean nose with notes of green apple, chalk and stone. Complex and dry on the palate but with a lingering not note of fruitiness. Flavors of pear, peach and slate and laced with a lingering chalkiness that continues through the finish. — 11 years ago

2012 Sawtooth Syrah, Snake River Valley, #Idahowine @sawtoothwinery this is a big, smoky Syrah and a bit more meaty than previous vintages. Aromas of smoke, blueberry and dark plum laced with espresso and toasted almond. Firm tannins and a vvety texture.
