Nice golden color. Aromas of yellow delicious apple, lemon, grapefruit and a touch of white flowers. Pallet features the apple along with unripe peach, melon, pineapple and dried herbs. Minerals and a touch of oak on the nicely long finish. Nice creamy texture and vibrant acidity. Great mouthfeel! — 3 years ago

This is the 2001 Shug “Heritage Reserve“ Carneros Merlot which apparently has around 6% cab in it. There is just enough fruit left to pair it with my attempt at Persian beef kebabs (Kubideh) which I hope will make my father-in-law proud. — 6 years ago
