Medium light ruby , quite wide light ruby rim . On the nose shows good complexity with sous bois , truffle , cherry and raspberry. On the palate this is again more tertiary in character , with those cherry fruits complementing the earthy sous bois notes . With time this shows a mineral , stony undertow , but stays fresh and vital , with those cherry and raspberry notes . Very fine , ripe but grippy tannins . Fresh acidity and good balance , good velvety mouthfeel . This is great now though improves with time in the glass , so there is absolutely no rush here , from now and over the next 10 years perhaps. Really nice overall, but definitely lost quite a bit from night 1 to 2. Pretty refined but with great earth and body. Has a bit of a rounded crunchy fruit quality in a nice way. Nice pairing with chicken thighs with feta and olives but was probably a better pairing a few years ago. Still nice and always appreciate bize. — 3 months ago

Boys weekend in Detroit.
A very lifted expression of burgundy. So much focus and separation on the mid palate. Waxy lemons define the texture on the palate, which then combine with white fruits. Superb length on the finish. Moderate acidity and delicate sweetness bring home a wonderful experience from start to finish.

This is like wine candy and not in the way I normally refer to wine candy. In this case, fruity but a bit too sweet. This tastes like a higher brix pick than I prefer w/ my red burgundy. The sweetness does fade some after it long sets.

Black cherries, strawberries, raspberries with some blue fruit. Eucalyptus, a pungent herbaceous quality, dry top soil, dry limestone powder, fresh & used tobacco, dry leather, dry twig, pronounced barrel shavings, soft baking spices- strong clove, understated cinnamon, nutmeg & vanillin, some grilled meats, pepper, mid berry cola, dry river stone, nice red, dark, blue florals with violets, excellent acidity and a well knitted structure-tension, needs more time to be well balanced but elegant & polished long finish that lasts minutes and long sets on dry earth minerals & spice.
