2023 vintage. Pulga is the top white wine from Quinta da Romaneira in the Douro valley. A blend of 75% Boal do Douro, 15% Viosinho and 10% Rabigato, 100% barrel fermented ( 60% in new oak). Reminiscent of a great dry Sémillon from the Sauternes region. This is only the second vintage produced from the Pulga vineyard. — a year ago
I've only had a couple touriga nacional non-fortified wines in my life, and they can vary widely in quality, structure, and tannin. This is on the softer side, no doubt partly because of its age, so it drinks easily.
Aromas are very reserved, a far cry from the aromatic wines I usually prefer. Lovely cocoa, clay, and homemade berry jam flavors. Reminds me of a Priorat but without the characteristic minerality. All in all solid. — 2 years ago

I can’t believe how good this wine is! It’s really my type of wine, strong body and a bit of oak taste. Love it! I had reserve 2015 — 7 years ago

Got it blind and was a nice surprise. Medium bodied and deep red, plenty of character and depth, a bit of stone fruit, some minerality, lingering finish. — 7 years ago
