Vintage Porto

2018 vintage. 65% Touriga Nacional and 35% Touriga Franca. Impressive nose of wild raspberry, violet and a subtle touch of cedar wood. Profound and very elegant. Long mineral finish. Highly recommended. — a year ago

Pulga Douro Branco White Blend 2023

2023 vintage. Pulga is the top white wine from Quinta da Romaneira in the Douro valley. A blend of 75% Boal do Douro, 15% Viosinho and 10% Rabigato, 100% barrel fermented ( 60% in new oak). Reminiscent of a great dry Sémillon from the Sauternes region. This is only the second vintage produced from the Pulga vineyard. — a year ago

Douro Touriga Nacional 2015

I've only had a couple touriga nacional non-fortified wines in my life, and they can vary widely in quality, structure, and tannin. This is on the softer side, no doubt partly because of its age, so it drinks easily.

Aromas are very reserved, a far cry from the aromatic wines I usually prefer. Lovely cocoa, clay, and homemade berry jam flavors. Reminds me of a Priorat but without the characteristic minerality. All in all solid.
