One of the oldest if not ‘the’ oldest dry farmed Riesling vineyard in the country. In 1964, about 45 acres of white Riesling were planted. The San Andreas Fault runs through the vineyard. Great yet unusual Riesling. Quite honeyed yet dry and with high acidity sitting at 12.5%. Petrol, oregano and touch of bitterness makes this one of the most unique Rieslings in the country (world?). Made by Ryan Stirm. If you want to surprise folks …. this is a good one. Year in year out good - yet again this is not your classic middle of the road Riesling! — 2 years ago
Bubbly fun pop top with a grapefruit hue. Bready nose with a peach and red berry back. Fresh and crisp mouth feel with well balanced acidity. Red fruit on the palate and oh so crushable. Pair it with a simple pizza or mild cheeses. — 3 years ago
Nice reminds me of Trousseau. Licorice nose, Raspberries, touch white pepper, touch sweet although stats say 0%, it must be the fruit, very nicely done. My wife - first ‘huh’ then it is actually not bad. Geek wine but fun. Sells out so fast there is so little just some tiny vineyards in CA. William Pfeffer apparently planted it it’s an ancient variant from Bordeaux. — 4 years ago

Wow! Acidity, bright fruits, plums, strawberry, some flowers. Great tannin. Perfect pizzaiolo night wine with the fam. Went with the pizza, pasta, salad, and fried chicken! This is even more unique than broc vine Starr as far as light bodied acidic zins go. Interestingly it still has that hint of jam that screams CA zin. Lovely. — 5 years ago
The domestic fave from East Bay Nasty Womens’ Pinot night. Supple, balanced, complete— and a shockingly low ABV. — 7 years ago

Ruby red delicious! — 4 years ago
Often times lacking the acidity and tensions found in other countries, this is a beautiful example@of American riesling. While it shouldn’t be compared to a German Riesling for example, this still has a powerful presence. A bit more round but it’s enveloping. Very good stuff from a really good dude! — 5 years ago
