Bright scarlet color, mostly translucent. Red fruit, gravel stone, spice, dark earth, some tobacco and some leather. Fruit is somewhat faded but still present. I think the 85 LB is moving towards being past peak, but still delivers a nice old world experience. — 4 years ago
Deep scarlet color. Almost opaque. Exotic nose. Notes of black fruit, blueberries, slate stone, some menthol and some cranberry. Tight at first but with 4 hours of air this blossomed. Very rich. Finish last forever. But the nose on this thing is@most memorable. Great juice! — 4 years ago
Mostly scarlet in color, translucent and regal. Deep nose. Notes of black cherry, blueberries, dried cranberries, some cool slate stone and some pepper. Rich and long in the mouth. Tannins fully resolved and integrated. Really nice for the vintage. In a great drinking window. — 5 years ago
Fantastic. Smooth even after just poured — 6 years ago
Deep, brilliant scarlet. A complex, expressively perfumed bouquet evokes spice-tinged red and blue fruits, exotic spices and potpourri, along with a deeper cola nuance and a hint of smoky minerality. Energetic and seamless on the palate, offering finely etched raspberry, boysenberry, lavender pastille and spicecake flavors underscored by a vein of juicy acidity. Finishes extremely long and spicy, with polished tannins and resonating floral and berry notes. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, October 2020) — 6 years ago
Tasted blind. Dark scarlet. Not showing much age. Great fruit forward nose. Cherries, warm berry pie, herbs and a hint of menthol. A lot of power in the mouth. Maybe a bit overripe? Medium finish. Thought Zinfandel, then Cab. Guessed mid 90s Cal Pinot. I liked this a lot more at the end of the night vs the first tastes. — 6 years ago

From a good looking bottle, decanted for 2 hrs. Dark scarlet, almost opaque. Awesome perfumed nose. Notes of red fruit, black cherries, Asian spice, some menthol and some moist dark soil. Silky in the mouth. After a few hours the aromatics quieted down. Better showing tonight than the last bottle in 2020. — 4 years ago
Dark scarlet color. Opaque. Nice aged cab nose. Notes of black cherry, plum, leather saddle, herbs, sweet balsamic vinegar and cigar box. Rich and powerful in the mouth. Needed all of its 5 hours of decant time to open up. Very nice but just a slight step below the 90 Cos next to it. — 4 years ago
Tasted blind. Bright dark scarlet tawny color. Notes of tart cherry, earth, spice and some wood. Has a bit of a green streak in it, but it doesn’t take away from the quality of the wine. Having had 97 Dujacs many times before, I guess 97 Dujac Clos St. Denis. Someone else nails the CdlR vineyard. Good for the vintage but not at the level of the great old Dujac wines. — 5 years ago
Bright scarlet tawny. Mostly opaque. Candied fruit nose. Notes of strawberry, cherry kirsch, sandalwood and some. A bit masculine in its impact, which is different than not so long ago. Still has a silky texture in the mouth and all the pleasure zones. Seems young but is rather luscious right now. — 6 years ago
Still a baby, but already solid, huge, grippy, powerful and assertive Priorat.
Garnacha/Syrah, fermented in cement tanks with wild yeasts with daily oxygenation. Macerated 10-15 days. Aged in 4000 L wooden vats, 300 L barrels, clay jars & demijohns for 18 months.
Dark inky garnet, scarlet rim.
Intense, invigorating & refined nose of black earth, tar, smoke, pome jam, raspberry pie, charred pine cone, crushed pepper, peppermint, cherry seed, bone fire, caramel, mulberry jam, tobacco, box of matches, mushrooms, pu er tea, licorice, ink, rosemary, volcanic minerals.
Impressive and massive palate. Very full body (14.5%), vivid acidity, grained tannins. Chokeberry, hibiscus, red currant skins, basil, lilac broth, black gooseberry, unripe saskatoon, earth, cigar, roasted cacao beans, lavender, savory, espresso flavors.
Saturated lasting finish of cedar, saskatoon, chokeberry, coffee and licorice.
Paired rib-eye steak finely.

Dark scarlet color with a deep center. Notes of black cherry, cola, roses, cassis, some spice and a little wood char. Amazing perfume in the nose. Smooth and silky in the mouth. Lots of drama with this one, and many agreed the 59 was better than the 45, the 61 and 82 Latours beside it. Bravo! — 3 years ago
Tasted blind. Scarlet tawny color, opaque with thin rims. Nice nose with notes of red fruit, cedar desk, dusty earth, mocha, leather saddle and some spices. Good structure with softened but present tannins. Has a nice richness to it. Guessed 86 Cos. This is better than most previous samples I’ve had of this. — 4 years ago
Hy-Vee- silky smooth, earthy, minerals — 5 years ago
Scarlet tawny with mostly clear rims. Barely translucent in the center. Impactful and exciting nose. Notes of black cherries, blueberries, cracked walnuts, cut Cuban cigar, some dry brush and a little camphor. Smooth in the mouth. The nose is so floral, which makes up for some fading fruit in the finish. I think this bottle was slightly past its peak given the drying fruit posture, but the nose and scents make up for it. — 5 years ago
Dark scarlet color, almost opaque. Meaty, hearty nose. Notes of black cherry, pepper and spice, smoked meats, slate stone and a little kirsch. Great balance in the mouth. Lasting finish. Good showing. — 6 years ago
