Butter classic Chardonnay pretty good — a year ago
Nice body. Easy to drink. Enjoyed it with pasta and three meat meatballs and marinara sauce. Delish — 3 years ago
It’s just one of those weekends...
Family in town for the 4th, double date before the storm.
Took me forever to track this down in the city. An elusive bottle that I had six months prior and couldn’t find it anywhere in the metropolis. Finally, just went straight to the producer and sent a message in an e-bottle to the friendly folks at Bloomer Creek Vineyard on Seneca Lake upstate.
Got me a cross-section of their new line of offerings, including three of these babies. Ready?
Funky as a sour beer, apricot, mango chutney and marmalade in the bouquet.
Pet bubbles for sure — love that. Makes it sing like a bluebird on a tall pine. Balanced acidity and sweetness, a perfect harmony that compliments each other. Refreshing AF. Mango strong note with an undercurrent of shrubs and thyme.

Wifey is unwell, and subtly directed me to focus on the French stuff, so here we are...
For once, “I got my mind right, boss,” and let this breathe for 5 hrs, and lawdy, this is singing.
The nose offers up new oak, cinnamon and a hint of molasses. The palate presents ripe and balanced. Tannins are still bold, but frame the wine superbly. Finishes with black fruits and uncommon sweetness for a bdx example. After my week-day sabbatical from alcohol, this represents a great three-finger salute (control-alt-delete). — 8 years ago

Great rose for post beach cool down, its Rose week here in Brigantine. Picked this up at a very cool eclectic wine store-320 Market Cafe in Swarthmore, Pa. Go see Jack Cunicelli for amazing natural wines. — 6 years ago
Patience provides dividends with this 2009, very approachable. Best articulated by Dominio IV winemaker, Patrick Reuter, himself; “There is a place just over the snowy chain of volcanoes were the sea’s finger tips turn from to gentle mist. The dry scent of sage and tall grass hills of the east assure the sea’s mist it is good to go no further. Under this sky our family planted, tended, and loved this Syrah. Mossier, Oregon, 2009.” — 7 years ago
What a difference a day makes. Scored this wine an incredible 9.5 three years ago. Now I can only give it a 8.9 at best. I couldn’t get over the oak that kept overruling any kind of fruit that I think was hiding somewhere. After 3 hours of decanting it gained a bit more complexity but still far off the previous mark. — 8 years ago

Jack: If they want to drink Merlot, we're drinking Merlot.
Miles: No, if anyone orders Merlot, I'm leaving. I am NOT drinking any F%$&ING Merlot!
The Miles Raymond I know would order a second bottle of this and then call his ex-wife from the restaurant pay phone... it’s that good. — 8 years ago
If you cross paths with Nathan or his wine, definitely snag a bottle or three. This 2013 Riesling is tasting awesome right now. Paired it with a spicier meal and wasn’t disappointed. — 9 years ago
A vanilla & tobacco with red fruit. Very good as always. — 9 months ago
Lodi CD. Vanilla. Flower elegant aroma. Rich vanilla minerally. Fruity with almond, pear. Butter like finish. 21 @5720, Pieroth, 240413
Yellow. Chalk. White suckle. Slight citrus. Sweet oak and vanilla. Rich, relatively high acidity. Unexpectedly Dry. Different from other CA CD. Even higher viscosity. Caramel. Three finger CD 21 @5280, Pieroth, 240420-240808 — 2 years ago
Summer of Reese Ling #4.Lime blossom, green pear and sage. Trocken style, lime like tartness, long acid, if this was from the Mosel I'd sh*t on it but the Fingerlakes is my childhood home! And it's substantially better than I remember the wines coming out of there three decades ago.

First New York made table wine I've fallen in love with. Great balance between fruit and spice, which I guess is what Cab Franc x Merlot is all about. Mouthfeel is wonderful. Wish it was just two or three dollars cheaper (it is a table wine after all!) Guess I'll just have to buy it by the case for a discount! 🤩 — 7 years ago
Full bodied, excellent with heavy Norwegian Christmas dishes like pinnekjøtt and pork. — 7 years ago
Nice sweet refreshing red. — 8 years ago
Yet another great vintage of what I consider a standard of FLX Riesling. Beautiful nose of lemon/lime and minerals with a slight floral component. Green apple with a hint of lemon on the pallet. Perfect balance and body with gripping acid. It is amazing as to how positively consistent this wine is year after year. Fresh and vibrant after almost three years in the bottle. Revisited this one in July 2019. Still excellent! — 9 years ago
