It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.
Deep inky in color with a short reddish rim.
Strong nose of blackberries, cooked cherries, black plums, sweet cedar, light vanilla, licorice, tobacco, milk chocolates and spices.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cherries, blackberries, cedar, vanilla, espresso, earth, herbs, spices, tobacco leaf, dark chocolates, light vegetables and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a delicious Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from Sonoma County. Elegant and fruit forward. Soft and smooth with a nice mouthfeel. Spicy and entertaining. Feels like a Napa Cabernet.
Rich and easy drinking right out of the bottle, and nicely balanced with nice complexity. The high alcohol is not very noticeable.
Very engaging and approachable, although still young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years and see how it evolves.
Much fruitier on the nose than on the palate, where more earth notes show up as it opens up.
A great sipping wine that will also pair nicely with food.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were aged in (60% new) French Oak barrels for 18 months.
15.1% alcohol by volume.

Bold delicious Petit. Pleasantly surprised. Gary Fisk gave it to me. Would definitely drink again. — 7 months ago
Oh my! I bought this mature beauty 6 and a half years ago from JR and then I let it mature even more! I didn’t realize what I had laid down and I opened on spaghetti and meatball night. This wine is SPECTACULAR. I’ve never had a Sangiovese that was so beautifully integrated with floral, oak and mint and so many other flavors I can’t pinpoint. I usually find Sangiovese angular, hard and acidic. This wine is simply gorgeous. TY JR. You blew me away! — 5 years ago

"Odedi"
Inky in color with short purplish rim.
Strong nose of black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, toast, light vanilla, tobacco, licorice, mediterranean spices, chocolates, light earth, herbs and black pepper.
Full bodied and soft with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruit forward on the palate with blackberries, black currants, cooked plums, black cherries, cedar, licorice, chocolates, spices, coffee, light earth, herbs, light vegetables, tobacco leaf, black tea and peppercorn.
Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a delicious red blend from Sonoma County. Bold and big, rich and fruit forward. Extracted and very complex, tangy and spicy.
Good right out of the bottle, and better after 2 hours in the decanter. Already very approachable, and got really dry on the palate, once it opened up.
Nicely balanced with a big mouthfeel. Feels like a Napa Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend.
Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years, and has good potential to become a 94+ point wine.
A great sipping wine that paired nicely with my burger.
A blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Petite Sirah, 11% Malbec and 5% Syrah. Aged for 18 months in (60% new) French Oak barrels. A small production of less than 6,000 bottles.
