Venica & Venica L’Adelchi Ribolla Gialla 2021: Medium-body. Lively acidity. Fresh & delicate fruit notes of pear, green apple, melon, citrus & peach. Great minerality and a long fruity finish. All in all, a well balanced and very likable/approachable wine. It was an elegant, pure expression of the Ribolla Gialla grape which resulted in a great quality wine. Wishing everyone a fabulous weekend! Cheers🍷 — 3 years ago
Great natural acidity, balanced minerality, slight salinity. (Some petrol notes) Hints of peach and tropical fruits — 8 years ago
This is so lovely...lush and rich. — 9 years ago

Great wine even though it didn’t hold up to my memories of former vintages, maybe because it’s a rare wine in its class that’s both excellent but drinks better young. It shed its primary character and left behind some ginger, vegetal tomato leaf and a silky texture with a long finish, driven by very prominent phenolic bitterness. Drinks like an austere high-quality white Bordeaux without the oak, but I miss the vibrant fruitiness and stronger Italian quality I get in its youth — 6 months ago

I think it’s from White Horse Wine and Spirits. Very fruity with lots of berries and oranges. Some cream, too. — 8 months ago
An above average Pinot Grigio with a bit of green apple, almond. Perfect with Zucchini pasta or risotto. July 2023. — 3 years ago
Pepper, pepper, and more pepper. Not overdone though, really enjoyable flavor complimented by some red fruit. Light body and structure. — 5 years ago
Gorgeous. Smells like savory herbs, like rosemary, and seasoned meat. Taste and texture is soft and smooth and velvety with mild tannins. The bottle said to enjoy it with beef or aged cheese. The only aged cheese I have is Parmesan and I have to say it goes pretty well. #merlotthursday — 8 years ago

Muled back from the winery. Popped and poured, enjoyed over the course of a couple of hours. No formal notes due to the setting. As far as I can recall, this is my first experience with the Schioppettino variety and wow, what an impression! The amount of rotundone could rival great Syrah from the Rhône. So much finely ground black pepper, fresh dark brambles and purple flowers. Yet, the body was lighter than Syrah and showed more Italian sensibilities. Fabulous with food.
