A fantastic aged Riesling that barely shows its 23 years of age. The nose was fresh and crisp with just a kiss of marmalade from the botrytis, however there was no notion of petrol which is all but unheard of for an old Mosel Riesling. The palate was gently sweet, almost like a young Kabinett but the complexity and richness of the wine was all old Auslese. — 9 years ago

some bic lighter and graphite on the nose, tiny bit of burnt orange peel. super-slick viscosity medium-medium-light feel, cranberry-skin quick dissolve to black stalk vegetation and a kind of cherry-pit bitterness that is really pleasant. has that racy edge of a pre-release pinot, the barrel-tasted variety, or a super fresh gamay, and so good with food. great acid to tannin ratio. happiness for half this table! there is one participant at this table for whom the acid veers toward overly tart :P......no judgement. parked one more for comparison in a year or two. — 6 years ago

i love this unfiltered rosé blend. it didn’t taste much like a rosé since it had a little more body than most rosé’s - more medium bodied. the lack of filtration gave it some nice texture. it does bright raspberry noted balanced by some gripping tannins. i am into this! i’d love to have again. i had at frog bar and haven’t seen this bottle before — 2 years ago
