Nose: bright. Lovely. White and yellow flowers. Pink grapefruit.

Dry reisling? I thought it was supposed to be sweet! Yummy dry minerals — 6 years ago
— 7 years ago
Light & elegant - with fresh, juicy acidity and quite surprising grip (big wood). Tart raspberries and red currants, a touch of spice. Beautifully balanced. — 8 years ago
Gorgeous classic Nahe nose of white cherry, confectionary fruit, apricot skin, vulcanized rubber and a distinct slate-like note. The palate is ripe, round, pure and extremely juicy, with beautiful sweetness, a Riesling-creamsicle texture and enough tension to keep everything balanced. The acidity is clearly lower than in 2021 and the wine does not have that vintage’s superstar energy, but it gains freshness after the first sip and shows lovely elegance, finesse and concentration. Very good now and likely to open further — 2 months ago
Stunning. Nose is white peach, white cherries, apricot juice, caramel and more. So clean. So elegant. Palate is teeming with energy and sapidity. Juicy, rich and super clean. Terrific compact quality and dry foie gras like finish. Superb. Really juicy and dense. Intense and so engaging. Almost 9.5. — 4 months ago
Great wine, for a fair price and in the 2018,which was quit warm, this is rather fresh en crispy. Very drinkable. — 6 years ago
Super smooth. Lovely — 7 years ago
Absolutely fantastic; pours a golden hue, aromas of white flowers, citrus oil, tangerine, grapefruit, wet stone; palate of various citrus, tangerine, loads of minerals, sea spray; dry and long. I love this producer, thanks @Lyle Fass — 3 months ago
Wow, medium yellow color, very nice floral apricot honeyed with just a hint of that petrol underneath, with a light lithe texture into a bit more acidic finish. 8% ABV. Must have aged well since last time, last one unfortunately — 9 months ago
If I’ve found a sweet spot it’s definitely value Kabinett Riesling - $15-$25. Show me another white grape this consistent and with complexity in this price range. Much thanks is owed to Terry Thiese and the Skurnick team for making wines available from producers like Jakob Schneider, Carl Loewen, Muelenhoff, Selbach-Oster, and Muller-Catoir. Each have a modestly priced Kabinett showing plenty of acid and explosive smokey citrus fruit. This week’s was Jakob Schneider - just off dry with flinty, flowery, ginger notes. Great for pre-dinner snacking. — 8 years ago

Gorgeous mature Marbach, showing a much more severe, mineral side than it does in youth. Sweet lime zest, pulverized rock dust, rock candy, wet moss, wild mint and a little porcini, with just a hint of secondary development beginning to creep in. Bone dry, dense, steely and incredibly mineral on the palate, with crazy 2016 acidity and a finish that feels like licking a rock. The confectionary Marbach character is still there in the inner-mouth aromas, but this is doing almost Domberg things now. Geeky, structured, terroir-driven Riesling. Could get to 9.6 with more air. — 12 hours ago
