Aromas & Flavors
Soft white peach, pear, yellow apple, and delicate white floral tones open gently in the glass. Subtle hints of wet stone, citrus peel, and light herbal nuances emerge underneath, keeping the wine grounded and balanced rather than overtly fruity.

Mouthfeel
Medium-bodied with a smooth and approachable texture. There is a gentle tension toward the back palate that adds freshness without becoming sharp. The finish remains subtle, soft, and savory-leaning.

This is a legendary wine and wow is this elite. Nose is the essence of NSG aka “The Bordeaux of Burgundy.” Stunning cherry fruit. So vivid. A creamy aspect also to the nose but on top of wet earth and stones. Tiny berry fruit intensity and mashed violets. Super aromatic. Palate is so well knit and silky with a meaty element as well and distinct cherry fruity. Mid season but also some black cherries as well. This has classic Ledy structure but is so approachable for this bottling. That’s 17! Will be back as it opens. But out of this world right now. Amazing tiny berry intense fruit! It's rather mineral on the nose : limestone, crushed oyster shells and there is a hint of lemon and some whiter flower. The palate is very well balanced. There is a strong acid backbone, some sitckyness/thickness on the sides. Some nice lemony notes carry on throughout the whole palate end during a fresh and almost flowery finish. This is showing very well. Very 15, sunshine, gorgeous earthy ledy funk. Truffle developing. Just gorgeous nose. Mint. The mint is insane. Just ridiculous. Palate is full and rich, with opulent fruit and sweet, elegant tannins that pump fruit on the long finish. Very elegant and detailed. A tiny bit of heat but let’s see what air does. Second take on this one because I really enjoyed it the first time and we even went back to buy a couple of bottles to bring back home. Previous notes stand and we had it with food this time around and it works super well with white meat cooked on the grill and light summer veggie and salad dishes. I’m a fan of most C-M reds. They rarely disappoint, the price point is usually acceptable, and they consistently produce elegant wines. This had all that in addition to dark red fruit and a surprising level of concentration. Plenty to enjoy now, but this bottle has legs…the good kind. — 5 years ago
