Sonoma-Hillsides Syrah

Concentrated dark berry fruit, slight menthol, deep fruit finish. Surprising combination of dark fruit and low alcohol (12.5%}.

Big, dense, jammy, smoky, old world esque but got buried in our lineup.

I don’t quite understand 100 points on anything but this wine is damn good. I’m waiting to open the other bottles I bought but had to check it out! Very solid wine.

Have been fortunate enough to have this wine 3 times now. It’s just so good. Iron, blood, pepper, black fruit and a finish that continues on for over a minute. I still think this will improve with a couple of years, but it is truly a special wine now.

Cote rotie; floral and gamey

Had a bit more of the power I think we were all looking for.

Wonderfully balanced Syrah from Sonoma. Smoke, earth, leather, smoked meats , beef jerky and pepper on the nose. On the palate, lots of cranberry, medium minus in acidity but a lingering finish despite the lack of big tannins. 12.5% but this a huge intensity. Northern Rhone in style, loving this bottle.

Yeah, believe the hype. Savory and sweet interplay that is all mid-palate. New world St Joe.

It says Sonoma County the friends from Delectable were not able to correct it. Beautiful Syrah, quite smokey. Will easily last many more years. Just 12.8%. Blueberries, mulberry, bark, violets.

Wow. Great olive taste. The 2017 is aging nicely in bottle. Tasting much better now.
