Great nose. Smokey, stone fruits, red apple, super vivid, what stunning minerality. Great nose, staring to get secondary. Wood shavings. Palate is rich and opulent yet tense and invigorating. Great tensile finish. So long. Precise and linear. The Z man can do it elite at all price points. This is crazy good and age only adds. As this airs it fills out and gets chewy and concentrated and retains its elite freshness and length. Almost a 9.4. — 3 years ago
Smells like bruised oxidized apples and cider. Nectarines, lemon peel, ginger, crushed slate. Nice amount of tannins from skin contact. Looking for more of this wine to have on a sunny picnic day. Thanks for the birthday wine @Margie @Colleen Z ! — 5 years ago
I met the winemaker David last year. Fresh and crisp, unusual for a Prosecco, 100% Glera, pleasant aromas of stone and tropical fruits. On the palate pear and peach flavors, good bubble flow, on dryer side, good balance between fruit and crispness (I prefer a dry Prosecco) ending clean and elegant. Pricey compared to the others out there, but comparison is like apples to oranges. A very nice Prosecco, one of the very best I have tasted, worth the price. — 6 years ago
Mmm. . . The family picked this up at a tasting at our new favorite butcher shop. More on the sweet side for a pinot but still flavorful. Hmmm may have to check my Napster for an accompanying Zac Brown hit for ambience. — 7 years ago
Something different tonight, Karen and I decided on a Excellent Rioja from Spain. Tobelos 2013, which is 100% Tempranillo. Opened 30 minutes ahead. First impression Rioja had a Great Mouthfeel with loads of black fruits and a touch of spice box. The tannin here are mild and in perfect balance with the fruit. Also on back palate a little wood. Enjoyed with Cobb Salad with a white Balsamic dressing. Wine purchased at WineWorks and salad at HoneyGrow in our center. Bravo to this winery! CB-95 Rating in my book! PS brushing up on top flight Riojas, which we are going to Spain’s Famous Rioja Country in 2 weeks! #wineworks #spainishwine #honeygrow — 8 years ago
Very fresh with lovely green apple hints — 10 months ago
Such a terrific Weissburgunder. The Z man strikes again. Nose is a bit quiet off the bat. Maybe it’s a bit cold. But there is apple, mineral and some smoke. I’ll update once it gets a bit warmer. Palate is just immaculate. Ripe and rich but so precise and the limestone tingles throughout. Nose starting to get fresh cut almond slices. Such a great combo of ripe and round juxtaposed with intense jagged limestone and terrific acid structure. Such a serious wine. I sell for like $25. Just an absurd value here. Really concentrated, complex and structured. Tonight this reminds me of the 18 Brisset Cuvee Cassaneas. Out of this world. Nose has such an insane stank after 20 minutes and warning up. Sweet spices. Ocean air. Salt. This is a stunning wine. — 4 years ago
Damn son, beautiful cherries and herbs with the dopeness of the Greg Pop signature. Hope everybody is healthy and safe. — 6 years ago
Delicious better than A to Z — 7 years ago
Pickles. Green veg. Black pepper. Underripe cherry. High acid here, and decent tannins. Didn’t drink as hot as I would expect for 14%. This could sit for quite a while, but I just had to open one tonight. Tight at first, decanted for two hours, would have taken more gratefully. — 7 years ago
Similar to a fruity Sauvignon Blanc. — 8 years ago
Nice to see what a decade can do. — 8 months ago
Had the 2021 in September of 2023. Never know what to expect from a WSJ wine but this one was fantastic. Big fruits with a hint of spice. Paired fantastic with bbq ribs and garlic mashed potatoes. Had all the typical zin flavors with a body to back it up. Hope to be able to get more of this one. — 3 years ago
73/13/7/5/2 blend of Garnacha, Syrah, Monastrell, Graciano and Piquepoul Blanc. Pink to red rose petal in color (it’s not just the artwork) light cherry aroma, Good tangerine-cherry-white pepper flavor consistent with two main red varietals here. Not quite bone dry but close. Nice acidity and mineral finish. Muted flavors overall but a fine wine for sipping on a hot day. Paired so well with a Bianco Verde pizza al fresco last week at Pizzeria Bianco that I went out and bought a bottle. — 5 years ago
Fun fresh and fruity. Pretty sweet. Nice bubbles. Super cheap. Good balcony and sunshine all day wine — 6 years ago

I really like this one
Very complex from A to Z
Made in ceramic eggs
It has character, length, freshness
It has a very Italian feeling
It reminds me of a Massa vecchia vermentino called Ariento or a Dettori bianco(again vermentino)
I will be trying to buy more
I would love to buy magnums, u need big formats at hand with this wine — 7 years ago
Really well balanced, an easy drinking wine at a reasonable price — 8 years ago

Had this again. Label is hint classy. Rustic. Color is lighter with a slight rust to the edge. Smells like rocks in the sun and flint. Berries too. Flavors are juicy, fruity and balanced. Zippy. This is a lighter styled GSM with a classy elegance to it. — 3 days ago
