Very interesting comparison of grower champagnes. Vincey Marne closest to traditional, very Apple intense, a bit reductive, long on lies, complex . Beaufort very reductive, 100 pct alive, yeasty, incredible depth. The rose almost tastes like a Belgian kriek from a very good house. So much more interesting than the big houses but expensive. — 10 months ago

2nd day much nicer. I switched to a better “ real” glass as well. Most of the initial, fruit driven nose and palate has morphed into something darker, more graphite and pepper with that inimitable Viognier lift on the finish. The texture is very, very nice. Palate coating but never heavy. Excellent recommendation from @FassSelections. — 4 days ago
