Pour of the evening in front of the last rugby game of the 2026 6 Nations tournament (what a game!). Almond, blackberry, licorice, smoke. This is not your typical grenache nose. The palate is showing some moderately powerful acid drive, it's full bodied, with an impressive width, some thick, concentrated matter, some nice fruity notes all along, a bit of an oaky, smoky touch, some tannins in the rear, giving a bit of a drying layer over a quite long blackberry, smoky, oaky finish with a bit of a bitter note in the end. It's quite structured, muscular and concentrated for a grenache but it's delivering a great tasting experience. Great pour! — 8 days ago

Drinking wonderfully now but could easily sit several more years in a cool cellar and improve even more. Nose takes a little time to open up but develops beautiful scents, with an initial whiff of camphor, followed by very pure macerated wild cherry, classic rose petals, a little rich mahogany furniture. Nicely linear and concentrated in the mouth, still quite a bit of soft tannin present, surprisingly nice acids. Great balance. I’m sipping it by itself while braising a pork loin Neapolitan style, and can’t wait to drink this with the meal. — 2 months ago

Extra point for value. Approachable on opening with moderate tannins. Best after 2+ Hours of slow-ox where it opened up nicely. Garnet color with dense rose petal nose. Raspberry, currant and spice and mild graphite mineral on the palate. Smooth moderate well balanced acidity and tannins throughout a lingering finish. — 4 years ago
