Floral notes on the nose — roses, hibiscus, plus mint, and the dry fragrance of sun-bleached wood. Strawberries on the front. Medium tannic structure. Black tea high notes with hint mint on the mid palate. Citrusy finish with long acidic afterburn. My description fails in that it makes it sound like a light and floral wine. But taken altogether, this is wine is rock solid, and it hasn’t even begun to develop. — 6 months ago

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish brick rim.
Great nose of blueberries, black plums, currants, tobacco, spices, balsamic, vinaigrette, cola, cedar, licorice coffee, cinnamon, light alcohol and peppercorn.
Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with black currants, sweet cherries, blueberries, dried fruits, cedar, vanilla, leather, spices, earth, chocolates, vinaigrette, tobacco, herbs, coffee, cola, light vegetables, pencil lead and peppercorn.
Long finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Stags Leap District in Napa Valley. Well balanced with great complexity and a gentle mouthfeel.
Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up (1 hour).
Thank you Michael for sharing this with me.
This 15 year old, still has 10 years in it, but so delicious now. Spicy and tasty. Rich and smooth.

Pontet Canet tasting and dinner with Alfred Tesseron.
The 96 is a nice surprise add from Clyde’s cellar. Thank you Clyde.
This 96 is beautifully floral. The evolution is right around its peak. The body is medium full and the tannins soft. It’s an elegant beauty.
The fruits are ripe and delicious. Leaner blackberries, black raspberries, dark cherries, strawberries and shades of raspberries. Soft earth; dry top soil, dry rock, limestone minerals, old tobacco, soft leather, cedar with dry and withering red & dark florals. The acidity is like a waterfall. The long finish is well balanced fruit & earth and in a sweet spot.

V15. Very good and well balanced. Smoked meat and cedar nose. Juicy black berry fruit. Soft, velvet black pepper finish. Nice wine. — 7 years ago
It leads with black olives, then a touch of brett but pleasant, purple flowers, and a good amount of stony minerality. Very quintessential Syrah. A little bit of bacon fat and smoke. On the palate the body is light. Tannins are moderate and fine and it brightens up the profile with good acidity even though the finish is not very long. It's very clear what they're trying to do and they're achieving it here. — 3 months ago
This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Sierra Foothills in California.
Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Showing black fruits with cedar, vanilla, leather, earth, black licorice, chocolates, tobacco, spices and peppercorn.
Spicy and rich, yet elegant. Fruit forward and delicious.
Showing great complexity already, and will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.
Feels like a Napa Cabernet with a touch of Bordeaux.
Showing lots of black licorice notes on the palate, which I loved, not much on the nose though.
Would be nice to revisit it in 3 years. A good quality wine.
Good right out of the bottle and better after an hour of airtime.

Lovely soft blue and black fruits. Nice finish — 5 years ago
Drank a bottle of this only a week ago so notes are consistent. Rich crimson in colour showing its youth. Masses of black pepper and spice from this cooler year. Medium weight palate with great texture and length. Rob Diletti the winemaker is a big believer in wines being totally expressive of the site they are grown in he told me - “All about the soil”. Terrific QPR. Bought a total of about 4 1/2 dozen from 5 different wineries over here in the Great South and said to send at the end of March. Ridiculously hot in Australia at the moment to be shipping wine. At Little Italy Restaurant in Albany. — 6 years ago
The best Cabernet Franc on the table. Although it really did not have much competition. This was the ONLY Cabernet Franc on the table! This one had lots of black cherry, graphite, cocoa, cola, and pie space to the front and middle. The finish still showed moderate astringency with a fair amount of oak, yet this was probably just about as approachable as I have ever seen a bottle of this Cabernet Franc. I would say this one is probably one to two years away from a pop and pour! — 7 years ago

Black cherry, licorice. Young lots of stuffing to last a while — 4 years ago

Had this wine May 17 - 20, 2019. Cloudy garnet red. Medium bodied. Extra dry. Cherry, strawberry, wild pansies and a hint of black pepper. It has a distinct element to it that I have noticed with other Ontario reds that I have not quite been able to put my finger on yet. It was also a little acidic on the finish. I did not, however, notice the earthiness that all the reviews that I have read mentioned. I can understand why this wine received great reviews and was noted as a bench mark for Pinot Noir in Ontario. $34.95 LCBO — 7 years ago

At 10yrs + from harvest, this third label blend is quite versatile. A true field blend, gives medium weight and medium intensity. A Bramble of fruit is unoffensive while being a bit simplistic. — 24 days ago
