Great blend, no decanter needed. — a year ago
Fantastic left bank Bordeaux. Dark, super dry fruit. Minerally with this so district graphite/lead pencil under notes. Just returned from South Africa where we were blown away with the quality wines they are producing from their stunning vineyards. We were able to stuff 36 bottles on our suitcases. Yes Shiraz and Pinotage and Chenin blanc are their signature wines but places like Vergelegen, Villafonte and BoschenDal are making fantastic Bordeaux blends. We just had to check it against our references once we got home… — 3 years ago

Bottle #363 Grande Syrah from Boschendal, Stellenbosch South Africa. Producing wine from this estate since 1685… let that sink in for a second or two. Amazing. Great Syrah, depth, concentrated, but focused. Dark fruit flavors of plum and black cherry all in fully harmony with spice and fine grained tannins. — a month ago
What a wine, what a story. An intense, full bodied Cab driven Bordeaux blend from Boschendal. Takes you on a journey that at first you wonder if it will be worth your time, but there is something there that keeps you going because you feel the promise. And then the wine slowly releases its incredible promise to those who committed to the journey. It unfolds into an incredible symphony taking you to heights I rarely have been. Dark fruit guided by dark, smoky tannins that keep evolving and unraveling the mystery. Now, however, you need to hear the story behind this wine. Tune in to @Spoken_Wines on Instagram and its launch coming up next month. — 2 years ago

Vintage 2024 | in the winelist described as a blend from sauvignon blanc, chenin blanc and viognier. Jolly good with expressieve peach and mango bouquet and supple taste. My appreciation was influenced by sitting on a sunny terrace with a salade niçoise. At Augustus in The Hague. — 3 days ago
