Very similar to the recent 2013, but with more roses. Again, much softer, less powerful than the Ravera and the Vigana Elena. $225 from WA. At home with Curly. — 3 months ago
A vanilla, forest floor and plum. Very good barbera. — 6 months ago
Coravin pour - light and delicious — 10 months ago
Medium body, almost light, smooth, gentle notes of violets and mild dark fruit. Went well with the risotto. Approachable now but can develop to maturity. — 4 years ago
Intense and deep. Leather and roasting, spices and heavy clay and chewy tans and everything in between. Drank it over three days with a variety of steak and roasted mushrooms and Italian food and it went well with everything just very broad and deep and brewing. — 2 months ago
Only a touch less panoramic perhaps than the recent 2010 of this. A little browning, probably still at its peak. Seems to respond better to gradual airing in the bottle or glass than being poured into decanter. $190 from Winestar. — 5 months ago
gorgeous!!! with depth!!! Kermit Lynch. — 6 months ago
Lighter style Nebbiolo. Very earthy with some funk; dried red fruit too — 2 years ago
Quite a bit more bubbles than what I was expecting. Lots of floral notes on the nose reminiscent of jasmine. Palate is floral with some strawberry with good acidity and a touch of phenolic bitterness. Good length too.
Tasty, gulpable stuff. Cheers to summer! — 4 years ago
GREAT bubbly dessert wine — 5 years ago
Fabulous white Lange from Novello — 4 months ago
This is insanely good quality for the price. Well balanced, with good acid and weight, and super floral aromatics almost like there is some Muscat in there. Very nice. — 5 months ago
Beautiful, feminine Barolo. — a year ago
1996 | Nebbiolo
Cantina Vignaioli; Vigneto Marcarini
Piedmont - Barbaresco; Elvio Pertinance, Treiso, Italy
Decanted +6H. Paired alongside a slow cooked Bolognese sauce over Pappardelle. Merry Christmas 2022 to everyone. 🎄
Deep ruby, fading at edges. Nose has elegant blackberry mash, chocolate mint; Palate has ripe cherry, dried tart cherry, medium drying tannins. Drink future bottles 2027+. — 4 years ago
Fresher & more floral vs the ‘17s & ‘18s.
Fresh dark sweet cherries, an uplifting, fresh floral note, just a hint of mossy undergrowth. Pure, light, juicy.
Juicy on the palate as well, mid weight, bright acidity, light & juicy tannins, crunchy red fruit. More balanced and less alc vs prior vintages.
Joyfully drinkable yet with quite some character & nice depth, too.
They really nailed it in 2019! What a delight! Need to stock up!! — 4 years ago

Another Nebbiolo, another great wine. Strawberry and cherry notes with grippy tannins and nice minerals. Love this wine. — a month ago
