High concentration. Full, balanced and beautiful of fig and baking spice. Silky tannins coat your tongue. Jammy fruit. Long finish. Light on the oak which I prefer. Low acidity. Enjoying with beef tenderloin. — 5 months ago

Still very vibrant, such a beautiful wine. — 6 months ago
Nose of tart fruit and spice which shows up in the palate as well. Silky tannins that take a little time to build up. Easy to drink for a medium bodied red. It's holding up well to hearty spicy chilli, and the spice of the food is letting the fruit show more through the spice notes of the wine. Curious to see how it develops when I have some tomorrow. — 8 months ago

100% carmenere. Unexpectedly nice. Liked the balance of tanines - feels light and smooth. Fruity, but not too much. Blueberries as a first note. Pleasing experience. — 4 years ago
Even at 13 years this is yet as powerful and robust as in its first years.
Loads of blackfruit and chocolate in the nose and some hints of tar.
In the mouth silky, long and a nice acidity to balance. It benefits btw from decanting as it is way better on day 2. — 3 months ago
Drinking alongside the Sliver, the ‘21 Chalk Hill comes across as richer and more extracted, offering dense layers of blackcurrant, blackberry paste, dark chocolate, and roasted herbs. The palate is deep and mouth-coating, showing ample oak sweetness and firm tannins, but the concentration slightly outweighs its sense of balance. Power and ripeness dominate, giving a bold, muscular Bordeaux style expression. — 5 months ago

Paired it with an entrecote from our local butcher. Well made wine, black currant all over. — 19 days ago
