Lovely dark amber color. Beautiful aromas and flavors of caramel, molasses, maple syrup, citrus zest and roasted nuts. Hint of saline on the long and luxurious finish. Sweetness is certainly there but there is also nice minerality (and that hint of saline) that really keeps this Wine extremely well balanced. Fresh and lively. This one makes me wonder why I do not enjoy sherry more often. Thanks again to Kasey and Pete. Happy Birthday, Carol. — 4 years ago

Wonderfully balanced combo of Grenache Blanc Rousanne and Marsanne. made by the talented winemaker Carol Shelton -this small winery in Paso Robles turns out quality winds, especially Zinfandel, year after year — 5 years ago

Having this with mom, Carol, Christy and Mayra in Orvieto. We are loving it. Carol and Christy taste peach. I think crisp, apples, a little thicker than the 3 Orvieto Classicos we tried earlier. — 7 years ago

Punchy, aromatic, mouth filling. Maybe added complexity with its age? Prefered to hush heath during wine tasting with Margie at Carol and Andys. All things good about English summer. — 4 years ago
So long since I’ve had a Rockpile wine and loved this!! Black and green pepper along with dark berries (raspberry and blackberry). An excellent jam flavor that just fits so well with bbq ribs. — 5 years ago
Purchased at a Momo wine tasting. Loved the bright fruit and smooth finish. — 6 years ago
Bursting with blackberry and vanilla, medium-long finish. Just tremendous. Not surprised, as I've appreciated Carol Shelton's deft hand with zinfandel for 20 years. — 3 years ago

This is a small town beauty pageant winner - rural North Carolina channeling the Right Bank... gorgeous brooding ripe almost stewed plum, blackberry & boysenberry mingled with dusty edges, spices, savory and a wild savage forestry-herbaceousness. Medium bodied w/firm tannins backbone - an absolute pleasure that absolutely over-delivers @ $17. .1 bump for locale & price point — 5 years ago
Big aroma. Jammy jammy upfront. Raspberries and dark blackberries. Then a strawberry finish. Mild lingering dryness — 6 years ago
