Very much a contemporary style of Amarone this is an elegant wine with finesse without sacrificing it punch. 15.5%abv, just 3.6 g/L residual sugar. Deep Ruby and loaded with fruit - black cherry, plum and prunes, blackberry, cassis, chocolate and seductive hints of Chinese Five Spice, including star anise and cinnamon. Elegantly poised, this feels light on the palate despite its full body. Very long finish, excellent with hearty food (I had it with boeuf Bourguignone). — 3 years ago

Nez principalement sur les fruits noir, cuir, eucalyptus! En bouche, c’est très bien, les saveurs typique bordelais, fruits noirs, tabac, cuir, cèdre , roches mouillées. Le vin est quand même puissant, les tannins sont présents et le vin a un bel équilibre. Va tenir la route encore

Vintage 2014 | dark colour, classy Bordeaux smell with red fruit, laurel and brushwood. I gave it a two hours decant, but still much power and tannins. Does not have the real depth of a great year, but is very decent and enjoyable. Perhaps a bit over extracted. Charming wine. Paired with a Cote de Boeuf and ratatouille, cheeses afterwards. — 4 years ago
I cooked a boeuf bourguignon for a work colleague who is from Portugal so I found it relevant to pop a red burgundy delight to go along. This cuvée, which is a single vineyard, is dense, concentrated and shows a bit of oak barrel on the nose, along with minerally touches (silex, gun powder). There is bright fruit notes too, dark cherries, raspberries and even blackberries. This is quite intense. The palate is youthful and intense too, less round and sweet than other cuvées I had from this producer which I called modern Burgundy style of winemaking. This is more classic in style, with some acid drive, some dark cherries, some pepper, some spices. Oak tannins pop up in the rear before a rather long, structured finish with dark berries, that oaky, lightly drying layer. There is some vanilla too at the end. It's a really good burgundy fix, in a more traditional style. Certified organic. — 5 months ago

Pretty uncommon wine, unique find. Medium purple; on the nose, it has strong farm smells initially which do cease after a while and opens up to slight cherry, mushroom and some forest as well. On the pallet there is strong acidity, with light hint of red fruit, and an earthy finish. Cheers. — 5 years ago
