Cherry, oak, and a hint of cinnamon. Medium bodied and approachable. — 16 days ago
A superb Zinfandel blend that tastes great now and possesses the requisite structure to age. Ridge sets the standard in American winemaking. Their corpus of high quality wines is unmatched in America and challenges the entire industry worldwide. — a month ago
At Bouchon (Venetian/Vegas). First time trying this; paired with vegetable gnocchi that had more of a tomato based sauce. Smooth. — a month ago

2016 opened at the right time — a day ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2015 “Southing” pours a deep ruby color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and bruised strawberry, raspberry, pomegranate, red flowers, mushroom and fine baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. Drink now through 2035. — a month ago

It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.
Dark ruby in color with a purple rim.
Beautiful nose and medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing red and black fruits with cedar, licorice, chocolates, herbs, light earth, spices, tobacco leaf, dark coffee and light green vegetables.
Spicy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This iconic Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend from Santa Cruz Mountains in California is still very young, but already delicious, even by itself.
Needs a few hours to open up properly, and will continue to age nicely in the next 30 years. Showing good potential to become a 95+ point wine.
A great sipping wine that paired beautifully with my Lamb chops.
A blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. Aged in American oak barrels for 20 months.
13.8% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

After it opened up really enjoyed it with homemade pasta and red sauce! — 2 months ago
Ruby color, with pronounced aromas of red fruits, floral, earthy cedar herbs and complex spice. On the palate concentrated flavors of blackberry, plum and cherry with citrus, tea, herbs, vanilla oak soft tannins on well balanced structure. Full body, rich long finish, ending with fruit, vanilla, floral and oaky spice tones. Very Nice! Will age a while, but nice now! — 15 days ago

Blackberry jam, raspberries, slight vanilla, not the biggest cab but bang for the buck is good, and it is reasonably balanced at “only” 13.7%. — a month ago
Really good cab sav someone gave us for engagement, not bitter at all but still rich (in a good way) — 2 months ago

David Hirsch passed away this week - so this is a tough one. Gained complexity with time 4 days under Argon gas line. Mostly raspberry driven. No cherry here…. — 19 days ago
