Ideal Chianti. Dry and pairs well with food, but also fruity enough to enjoy on it’s own. Notes of cola, cherry, and some vanilla. — a year ago

St. Giorgio – Chianti Classico Riserva 2019
Tuscany, Italy 🇮🇹 – DOCG
Overview
Made predominantly from Sangiovese, this Chianti Classico Riserva reflects Tuscany’s classic profile with its red-fruit core, oak aging, and elegant structure. The Riserva designation ensures extended aging (at least 24 months), which adds depth and polish to the wine.
Aromas & Flavors
Plenty of ripe red fruits — cherries, raspberries, and strawberries — framed by subtle vanilla, toasted oak, and a hint of spice. A light herbal edge ties it back to its Tuscan roots.
Mouthfeel
Medium-bodied with balanced acidity, lightly firm tannins, and a smooth flow through the finish. The oak adds just enough roundness without overpowering the freshness of the fruit.
Food Pairing
Perfect alongside Tuscan classics like bistecca alla fiorentina, pappardelle with wild boar ragu, or aged pecorino. It also pairs nicely with grilled pork chops or tomato-based pasta dishes.
The Verdict
A polished, versatile Chianti Classico Riserva that balances fruit, oak, and structure with finesse. Enjoyable now for its supple fruit and texture, but it also has a few more years of life in the cellar. Cheers! — 9 months ago
Revelatory Montepulciano with Italian essence but Bordeaux character. Medium bodied with earthy fruit and restrained tannins, combined with notes of leather and cedar box and a hint of soy sauce. Mouthwatering food wine; the 2013 vintage is definitely ready to enjoy now. First glass was at Mother Wolf in LA (date night with Dreama) and most recently a bottle at home with my own beef stroganoff on a Sunday night. What a way to top off the weekend! — a year ago

2017 - very nice, clean finish. Somewhat fruity. — 5 years ago
It also has a bit of chardonnay and riesling in various percentages depending on the vintage.
Favorita vines are pretty old, they were planted in 1980. It is a clone of vermentino apparently that has established itself in Piemonte.
The wine is dry, personality, freshness and it is easy drinking.
The price is a bonus.

Cassis, flowers. On the “big” side but still light on its feet. Very woody. — 4 years ago

We had this wine paired with meat menu including starters with fruity sauce, and cheese plate at the end. Waitress recommended this wine to go along with all the food if we do not prefer the wine pairing. The wine fits perfectly to each dish. Highly recommended! — 5 months ago
