A very tasty and surprising for a French Pinot noir at a very reasonable price. Medium body with a nice finish of tart cherry. Paired well with a variety of foods including a beef cavatappi . Still very young but vibrant. Drank in January 2025 — 4 months ago

Domaine de la Garenne Bandol Rouge 2019, France
Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim. Not showing age at all.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Showing black fruits with light earth, chocolates, light wood, tobacco and herbs.
Nice finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a very nice surprise. This Mourvedre based blend from Bandol is easy drinking. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Fruit forward and rich.
Drinking at its peak right now, and good by itself as a sipping wine.
A blend of 75% Mourvèdre, 12% Cinsault, 10% Grenache and 3% Carignan. Aged for 20 months in French oak barrels.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
89 points.

2022 vintage. Tasted via Coravin. Medium-heavy body. Trashed label, tawdry goods. Knows exactly how to seduce and deliver and how. Plenty of acidity, fruit, minerals and balance. Excellent concentration throughout and pretties up on the loooong finish. An ascendant star. 02.26.25. — 2 months ago

Dry, crisp, and elegant. Subtle citrus, green apple, and flinty minerality. Super clean and balanced—classic Sancerre. — 17 days ago
