Gorgeous dusty nose, cherry, and a hint of elegant coffee grounds, but not oak-driven. Gorgeous texture and freshness. So pure, textured and beautiful. — 3 months ago
Nose is classic with green apple skins, some phyllo dough, spice and nice minerals. Uncomplicated but gorgeous in its effect. Palate is juicy and plump. Good freshness and texture. Sneaky length and very pure. I won’t sell it but it’s something I’d love to pour BTG if I had a restaurant. Nice lime zest and mineral finish and has real good mid palate density. — a year ago
Gorgeous, high-toned nose of raspberry, red licorice, sweet mid-to-late-season cherry, sour cherry, earth and mineral, with tremendous depth and clarity. The palate is concentrated, juicy and beautifully delineated, with that full chord progression of red fruit, huge acidity, remarkable purity and enormous length. Decadent but restrained, dense but refined, with tremendous energy and everything perfectly in place. — a month ago
Unreal. Cherry pit, concentration, big wine, darker fruit and amazing purity. Again, the tannins. — 3 months ago

Carafé et décanté 3 heures avant. Floral, fruits noirs, une bouche mure, juteuse, pleine et riche, puissant mais avec des tannins soyeux et approchables, excellent et encore un bébé presque. 93
Blind tasting lunch 2009 theme. My offering, decanted 3 hours. Flowery and black fruit notes, palate is juicy, full, rich and powerful with velvety textured tannins, nice finish, still a baby almost. — 4 years ago
Nose has lemon zest, lemon slice, vanilla bean, crushing of flint, white wood smoke, room temperature butter, salt box and waxy yellow apple.
Palate has under-ripe pineapple, honeycomb, warm green apple, salty warm lemon, pulverized flint; concentration is amazing, finish is minutes.
Wow, Meursault I already ❤️ thee, but this is next level.
Decanted +3H, then double decanted for service tonight. — 5 years ago

100-year-old vines. Huge perfume, sick florals, a touch of funk, spice, earth, pomegranate and stone. Unreal fruit, complex, wow. Sweet fruit and, again, the tannins. 9.6

Bright, lifted and beautifully red-fruited, with cranberry, sour cherry and a stony mineral undertone. The palate is tangy, juicy, ripe and very pure, with excellent balance and a lovely linear shape. With air it fills out a bit, gains some density and brings in more tannin, but the tannins stay impressively refined for village Santenay. Elegant rather than powerful, very fresh, very precise and just delicious. — 2 days ago
