Dark red with slight violet. Oak, herb, plum, earthy. Taste: Earthy, acidic at deep in my tongue. Domaine Tortochot Les Jeunes Rois Gevrey Chambertin 20 @22000, AD, 240601 — 2 years ago
Nice ripe fruit. Cassis, cherries, lingonberry. Spices. A bit too early to drink this. The bouquet is not very developed — 7 years ago
Slightly deeper colour , brighter ruby centre . More crunchy summer fruits , red currant , cherry , blackberry , floral notes, more fresh and vivacious than the Tortochot . On the palate this is slightly better balanced with a rounder more red fruited character , red cherry , raspberry , mineral , just slightly smoky hint. Sweet rounded but still grippy tannin , balanced fresher acidity, mineral stony touches, saline finish . Better length . Young but showing quite well , even better in 3-5 years and will last well at least another 5-8. This was a little more nuanced , fresh and elegant in style than the Tortochot, certainly with more polish in regards the tannins . — 8 months ago

Medium light ruby . Quite high toned , ripe sweet dark fruits , blackberry compote , dark cherry with a touch of black pepper and floral notes . Slightly sweet and sappy . More blackberry and red currant , ripe strawberry . Mineral , stony touches . Quite sombre tannins , a bit grippy with a touch of bitterness . Balanced acidity and Ok length . Needs a little more time . Probably better in 5 years or so and will last well a further 5-10 . Overall a little severe and rustic perhaps , but time might help round out some of those hard edges. — 8 months ago
