Tim would kill us for drinking this so late, but it's delicious! Fruity, malic, bright... with vanilla and nutmeg notes to mellow it out — 4 years ago
Light, pleasant, paired nicely with seasoned shrimp and roasted. potatoes — 4 years ago
Bright medium ruby with medium wide violet pink rim . This is quite exuberantly fruited on the nose at first , with plum , dark cherry , violets then some dry spices, anis, with some slightly toasty , earthy hints after a while . On the palate this is velvety in texture , medium bodied with red plum , dark cherry , ripe blackberry , with a discreet dried spice note . Balanced alcohol , ripe but lightly grippy tannins , and good freshness . Medium length , with cherry , anis and toasty , earthy notes on the finish. Youthful but certainly enjoyable now and , I would imagine , over the next 5-10 years. — 7 months ago
Don't think I've had a south African wine, not bad at all! Was great with seafood... — 4 years ago
Mmm, delicious. Altesse is likely my favorite Savoie white. While I live how Jacquere can almost have this ethereal quality to it, very pure mountain air kind of feel, Altesse brings this weight and depth which is really intriguing. This 2016 is just starting to show a little oxidation, but in a gracefully aged sort of way. Apple skin, delicate white flowers, slight brioche, lemon zest and loads of minerality on the finish. Delightful. — 4 years ago

Do you know I keep trying it and I’m just not a fan of Gewurztraminer. There’s too much of a perfume flavor to it but it’s sort of reminds me of like chewing those fake fruit gummy‘s. This is delicious, it just sort of gets overwhelming after a while. — 4 years ago

Ruby red, light to moderate pigment extraction. Raspberry aroma, raspberry and cherry flavor. Light body, fruity, slightly tart, slight skin astringency and seed bitterness on finish. Decant at least 90 minutes; the red fruit flavors change and a hint of bergamot (Earl Grey tea) emerges — 25 days ago
