One of my favorite wines to have with basic pasta with tomato sauces (with or without meat) is Argentine Bonarda. Unfortunately we’re overrun with effing Malbec and Bonarda remains hard to find in the states, even though it’s widely grown in Argentina. This has the classic dark, purply color. Tangy dark mountain berries, crushed rocks, and bitter herbs on the nose. A blast of flavor initially, fading quickly into lingering minerals and acids. (A flavor profile that just works with the aforementioned pasta.). Cheap and good. Glad I stumbled on this. Was not familiar with torrintes but this was delightful, perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon glass (or 3!) — 6 months ago
Great fruit, well balanced, almost case worthy — 7 months ago
Deep purple in color with a short purplish rim.
Full-bodied with medium acidity.
Dry and very fruity on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing blackberries, blueberries, black plums, cooked cherries, spices, oak, licorice, herbs, light vegetables and peppercorn.
Medium finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 6-year-old Malbec from Mendoza is still young, and a little harsh. I had it before and this time I let it open for a whole day.
Tangy and rich. Very extracted and a little unbalanced.

Dayum. Beautiful translucent ruby in color, this wine is so bright, lively, and fresh. Flavors of red fruits and cherry cola pop from the glass. This is a 50/50 blend of two grapes I seem to be favoring these days, so it's no surprise that I enjoyed this as much as I did. 50% Cinsault, 50% Paìs. 8/24/22. — 4 years ago
Deep Ruby with aromas of dark red fruits, spice and notes of forest floor. On the palate flavors of blueberry and blackberry with floral, herb and oak. Fine grainy chalky tannins, lively acidity, long finish ending with fruit and mineral spice, tight, needs time. Nice! — 5 years ago

Clear, pale ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced intensity primary aromas of hibiscus, black tea, and raspberries; on the palate, it's dry with medium acidity, low tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of dried strawberries, candied cherries, and clay pots with a long finish. This wine is intense and well balanced. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. — 3 months ago
Deep Ruby color, purple hues, aromas of red and black fruits with herb and cigar spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberry with vanilla, cacao and tobacco. Fine round tannins, medium+ length ending with fruit, tobacco and mineral spice. Good now! — 7 months ago
Generally what you'd expect from a budget Pinot - oaky/vanilla, cherry, a bit of a bite — 4 years ago
