Fattoria Pian Del Bichi

Montevertine

Pian del Ciampolo Toscana Super Tuscan Blend 2021

Montevertine's Pian del Ciampolo blend is 90% Sangiovese, rest with equal amounts of Canaiolo and Colorino, deep Ruby with purple hues, aromas of red fruits, floral, herbs and smoky oak. On the palate flavors of cherry and currants with dried herb notes, cacao and tobacco notes. Fine ripe sweet tannins, long finish ending with fruit and an earthy herb spice character. Nice! — a month ago

Really interesting. Raspberry, hard candy, barnyard, dirt. Cannot believe this is nebbiolo. Benefits from breathing a while. Thanksgiving bottle #1. — 4 months ago

Pian dell'Orino

Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2019

A real treat. Bigger (more fruit forward) than most Bunello’s we’ve tried, particularly given how young the wine is. Red currants, cinnamon, leathery. Solid wine. — 7 months ago

La Spinetta

Cà di Pian Barbera d'Asti 2018

Nov 2025: fruity and with noticeable oak (well integrated), nice nose, very good aged barbera, still has potential for cellaring a few years — 4 months ago

Pian dell'Orino

Rosso di Montalcino Sangiovese 2006

Dusty cherry, strawberry, leather, and tobacco on the finish. Still zippy acid after 19 years! — 10 months ago
