Fruit comes from the Sierra Madre and Peake Ranch vineyards. Medium lemon color with aromas of white flesh fruits and spicy notes. On the palate, flavors of apple and pineapple with slight citrus notes spice and lively acidity. Medium finish ending with fruit and spice. — 4 months ago
As advertised; jammy but unsweet opening, robust mouthfeel with a long bold finish of leathery goodness — 4 months ago
Stunningly complex, mesmerising and fantastic.
Full of tertiary notes: Figs, hazelnuts, stemmed ginger, dried lemon peel, honey. Loads of caramel, baking spices, vanilla and tonka beans. Quite oxidative almost sherry like. Super bright acidity, wonderful balance and structure, a super lush and creamy finish. — 6 months ago
This could be the best Chard I’ve tasted from the winery.
The nose reveals ripe stone fruit like peach and nectarine, complemented by subtle citrus and fresh herb notes, and touch of vanilla from judicious oak aging. The palate is lush yet focus, buoyed by vibrant acidity. Long satisfying finish. Really showcasing the structural balance of Santa Maria Valley Chardonnay. — 2 months ago

Manages to be bright with moderate acidity and still have a waxy last taste to it. Bright straw and slightly under ripe gooseberries, slightly under ripe raisins, persimmons. It has the tart and the acid hit a good golden flavor that has enough sugar developed to not be just bitter. Smooth and flowing, not very viscous, considering the waxy flavors to it, but overall a definite winner, especially in combination with avocado, garlic, pita bread, and all sorts of grilled meats, al pastor style. — 11 days ago
