Blend of Garnacha (49%), Carignan (36%) Syrah (13%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (2%). Medium ruby color with garnet highlights. Aromas of bright red fruit, anise and wet soil. Flavors of ripe strawberry and cherry fruit, black licorice, basil and sweet baking spices. Long and lingering finish. Fine grained tannins. Medium-plus body and a perfect texture. (Not too light…. Not too heavy). Fruit forward, rich and somewhat concentrated, but also full of elegance and finesse. Nice wine. — 3 months ago
Mmmm - delicious! Quite full bodied with a deep ruby red color. Enjoyed with red meat and all by itself. Flavors of blackberry, plum and dark cherry. — 7 months ago

v18. Soft, smoked meat nose. Fresh, bright, layers of cherry and black cherry fruits. Clean, smooth, pleasingly bitter finish. Enjoyable. — 4 years ago
Staff selection Surdyks (Roger Clark): “Grown in southern Spain’s Jumilla region, Muscatel produces wonderful dry wines. Shows typical fruit and floral aromas. Fruit is certainly at the forefront of the flavors, but the lightly spicy notes accent the fresh, dry finish. This would be excellent with savory chicken or pork dishes.” — 5 years ago
Very solid. Pairs with lamb / fatty dishes. Fruity and spicy. — 6 years ago
Fuck elegance. A bottle filled with sugar will do nicely. @Anthony De Blasi — 7 years ago
Heavy tobacco, smoke, and earthy tones on top of dark fruits. Opens up very dynamically because of its vintage. — 3 months ago
Fresh and vibrant with red fruit aromas alongside spicy, earthy undertones and hints of mineral. Lively medium-bodied yet juicy, refined and silky tannins, good acidity, and a refreshing, mineral finish. — 4 months ago
Began 1916, when Juan Gil Giménez, great-grandfather of the present generation, built a winery in heart of Jumilla. Blue label spent 18 months in new French and American oak barrels. Monastrell, Cab Sauv & Syrah blend (60/30/10), low yield, aromas of red berry and toasty oak. Palate shows flavors of dark berry fruits, espresso, cacao and hints of sweet spice. Round dusty tannins, well integrated with oak, medium+ finish ending with fruit and rich earthy oaky character. — 4 years ago
Très bon, un vin assez passe-partout,
Très représentatif d’un Jumilla, mais avec une toute petite note légèrement sucré.
Fruit rouge, léger boisé et épicé. — 5 years ago
