Super glu, glu w homegrown broccoli rabe and ground pork pasta. Vibrant purple and conjours a bit of the juicy, fresh, snappy character of a good Dolcetto or Valpolicella. — 4 years ago

This ain’t half bad. Maybe I just like to lavish out reasonable marks, but it’s a crowd-pleaser. Lemon rind, roasted almonds and roasted nuts on the nose lead to a weighty, sweet mid palate. Lacking acidity along with a relatively short, exotic finish, I’m willing to overlook its fault lines, cos overall it’s good. — 4 years ago

Clear, deep ruby in color (almost purple); on the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary and secondary aromas of black cherries, cassis, and graphite; on the palate, it's dry with medium acidity, medium tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of black plum, violets, blueberries, and wet slate with a long finish. This wine is intense and complex, but could use a bit more acidityto balance the fruit. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. Nellie liked it with food. — 8 months ago
