Catch up from a wine dinner last month. Another rare treat on an evening of many new experiences. So muscular. Still very young, waiting to uncoil, but delicious nevertheless. — a month ago
This is the best bottle of wine I’ve had from my cellar in years. Nearly perfect. Bought it in 2008 for $30 and one of my great finds. Good lord it was just divine. I’m sure there have been better vintages but I can’t imagine it. — 4 months ago

Nice rioja. Warmer than I like but it’s hot this summer. Smooth. Floral notes. Easy to drink. Low tannins. Great taste. Highly recommend. Didn’t even loose my taste for drinking after looking at my wife’s cut open finger from the knives i just sharpened. Dry, doesn’t make your mouth pucker. Gets better the more you drink. 9.2. 33$ great value.

We had the 2016 Vintage on 8/15-16/26. A real good Chianti with tastes of raspberry, black cherry, plum and herbs. Old World, medium bodied — a day ago

Opened about an hour prior to service and enjoyed over the course of two days. Better on Day 2. The 2005 RsV pours a deep ruby color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing and dark fruited with ripe notes of black cherry, strawberry, red and purple flowers, licorice, dried green herbs, and gentle warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. Always a special treat, the DRC comes across the most polished and frankly, primary in this lineup of legends. It fresh and beautifully balanced. It just needs time as the Day 2 experience indicated. The tannins are super sneaky. Drink now through 2050+ Bottle No. 1821/17392 — a day ago
