Our New Year’s Eve wine is 2005 Kapcsandy Family Winery Estate Cuvée State Lane Vineyard. Still too early to open this? After four hours, the wine finally showed us who she was. Elegant, yet still restrained. We also opened 1996 Duckhorn Vineyards Napa Valley Merlot. Still drinkable. You can still enjoy the history. Bye bye 2025.
大晦日最後のワインは、2005 Kapcsandy Family Winery Estate Cuvée State Lane Vineyard。 Bye Bye 2025! — 3 months ago
Still with Violet. But ok to drink. Of course still solid. But not so tannic and acidic. Black currant, oak, leather. Good balanced. Château Lynch-Bages 20 @, Vin, 240928 — a year ago
2020 vintage. This seems much more Sauvignon Blanc dominated than usual, with the Sémillon character less noticeable. Very young colour. Tight, grassy, mineral. I believe I might have taken this rather for a Sancerre in a blind tasting. While I prefer the 2022 and 2017,it is still a very nice wine and good value too. Low alcohol 12,5%. — 2 months ago
Nice fragrance, and great long finish. — 7 months ago
Terrific blend of Syrah, Grenache Noir and Mourvèdre. Elegant on the palate with blackberry, strawberry, raspberry, black cherry, red currant, violet, licorice and cedar. Just starting to show tertiary notes of leather, game and forest floor. Medium silky tannins and while the abv is 15% the wine doesn’t feel hot and has beautiful balance and an embracing, long finish. Great balance and finesse. Drinking beautifully now with 5-10 years ahead of it. — 6 months ago
