I was surprised when this turned out to be an orange wine, but not at all disappointed. Beautiful amber color, medium bodied, with a strong nose of ripe, sweet fruit, with good acid, and notes of navel orange, Meyer lemon, sweet cream (though VERY light), with hints of mustard, celery and other subtle vegetal notes. Palate is smooth, with great energy and well integrated creamy motes of ripe orange, blood orange and grapefruit, but not tart, with more prominent vegetable notes, maybe some more anise and celery. At the finish there’s even hints of some smoky BBQ, which ends in a dry, slightly spicy and savory hue. — 18 days ago

Interesting story. Bettina was NOT born into a winery family. She is making wine with her friend Am Kaiserstuhl in Baden - Germany. Gorgeous golden color. Skin contact. Super fresh crisp, clean and clear - not an orange wine in that regard. Dried apricots, great balance between acidity and fruit. Touch bing cherry - tannic. — 6 months ago

Yowza! Nose is pitted fruits like peach, nectarine and also some pink grapefruit flesh but wow that color. True Pinot Gris. Floral, pancakes, hint of honey and so complete. Miraculous nose. Palate is just insane. Juicy and elegant like I cannot tell you elegant this wine is. So pure, like rainwater in Iceland flowing off a glacier. Palate is sapid and so dense but this thing just floats. Unreal spirits and crazy tannic structure on the endless finish. Yikes!! Wow the nose has a brown sugar thing now and it’s just a freak show. Unreal finesse. Wow. After a few hours this has just gotten elite. 9.8 may be too low! — 3 months ago
