Pretty darn close to old school Napa. — 3 years ago
11 years in and still green. Blows off after 2 hrs decant and is a lovely Cabernet underneath. More closely related to Bordeaux than California. — 4 years ago
Mellow, low in tannins. Cherry overtones. — 3 years ago
Well balance, high acidity, red fruits can be kept in the cellar for a few years. — 4 years ago
This is the Artazu Pasos de San Martin Navarra, a varietal Garnacha. A bit sleepy before it gets air, it gradually Benjamin Buttons and develops a terrifically pure nose of kirsch and raspberry ooze, along with crushed rock dust and sandalwood. In the mouth it’s got intense fruit, but is laser-focused and has excellent acids. Zero flab.
Just enough tannin to package it all. Really nice rendition of Grenache. — 4 years ago

2015 vintage. Light-medium/medium body. Elegant with just the right mix of primary and secondary characteristics currently. Some earthy tones, some pretty tones. Picked up 3 cases for an affordable ($35 a btl) domestic Cab with a decade of age on it. 2013 effort (not reviewed) had a slightly, off-putting, prunish note on the finish that wouldn’t leave the party so passed on it and went with this instead. 3.11.26. — 16 days ago
