Excellent surtout pour le prix. Corsé sans trop, bel équilibre. À refaire ! — 5 years ago
2018 vintage. Last tasted 11.4.25 (9.3). Opened AND decanted (this time), tasting after 15 minutes and one hour with the temperature between 55-62 degrees. White pepper, citrus oils, lemon zest, trace minerals and hazelnuts. Perfectly between medium/medium-heavy body with that yellow Chartreuse color and a pleasing, sumptuous amount of total harmony. Miffy that this was the last bottle. Quite the ride. Contribution to the FLB (Friday Lunch Bunch). 2.13.26.

Yellow appearance. Slight floral aroma with minerality and buttered popcorn. This wine is fuller bodied than most white wine. — 5 years ago
Les Chantreries - Chateau de Pommard -2001 : magnum . Liquoreux , charpenté, gros caractère, un peu moins gouleyant, touche d’acidité légère. Un bonheur. Joyeux noel. — 6 years ago

Subtle and scotch-like in some respects, but nevertheless giving with strong scents of grape skin, wood spice, and white raisin. A bonkers proposition, not only was this Cognac aged in a handmade single cask by the Pelletans, the brandies that went into it are a blend of vintages ranging from 1925-1965 exclusively making this undoubtedly one of the rarest bottlings you could hope to get your hands on. Bottled at natural cask strength and with zero additives or artificial ingredients. Surprisingly pointed in its attack for something this old, but with the complexity and character you'd expect. — 5 years ago

2022 vintage. Last tasted 3.13.26 (9.4). My contribution to the FLB flotsam this go round. Decanted and tasted between 45 degrees and 60 degrees over the course of an hour. Light-medium body. Lemon zest/curd and that white pepper misting throughout. Nearly perfect harmony of salinity/alkaline presence and acidity from sunrise to sunset. Consistent, 45 second finish. Oak influence seen/felt but more of a cameo appearance vs the usual, occasionally bumbling, Chassagne protagonist. Phenomenal bottle that surpassed the selfsame one 3 months ago. Can go toe-to-toe with any premmie cru Puligny or Meursault from this vintage. Wow. An unequivocal showstopper. 6.26.26. — 5 days ago
