Another dry Riesling from down under, why not?
This is lovely. Right up my alley.
Lemon, lemon zest, flowery scents, some petroly touches too. Textbook Riesling nose. The palate is acid driven, as expected, with lemony and lemon curd notes all along, some good width and a massive grip in the rear. The finish is long, lemony and zesty and goes on for a super long while, leaving a tangy aftertaste that lingers for a moment. Great stuff. Different take than the 2 hands effort I tasted some time ago, unoaked, but very good example of the varietal. Thumbs up again! — 2 years ago
An Aussie take on the classic French GSM. Warm baking spices on the nose. Plums, blackberries, and raspberries on the palate with just a touch of oak. Medium in body and quite smooth. 50% Grenache, 25% Shiraz, 25% Mataro. 11/30/21. — 5 years ago

This is the 14 Eden Valley Shiraz. Hopefully, Delectable will correct. The nose shows gummy sort of candied fruits of; blackberries, black raspberries, dark cherries, black plum, violets, lavender, black licorice. The palate reveals; wonderful, more lush, riper, more elegant fruits; black currants, blackberries, blueberries, black plums, black licorice, dry decayed dark florals, very soft warm spices, mocha chocolate, nutmeg, light vanilla & very nice mellow acidity. The fruits are rounder, more lush & elegant in the finish. Photos of Tracy our great host in their cellar and different vines around the Estate. From 100 plus year old vines. — 9 years ago
Phenomenal wine even before you realize this is crafted from the oldest Syrah/Shiraz vineyard in the world. Intense in flavor, in spice and in vibrancy. A complex wine that is trying to tell you the 180 year history that is has experienced. Planted less than 20 years after Napoleon died. Want it hear the story behind this wine? My son described this as the best white wine he has tasted. A little spritzy - this is not your usual Riesling.... it is lively just as it is named, full of jest and very easy to drink! Great wine! — 3 years ago

Really lovely shiraz, great value. — 6 years ago
Found in the breakage bin of a local store when I was using the bathroom. 15yr Tawny bottled in 2000, but I don’t remember ever being offered this. Caramel, red fruits, nutty oxidation. A touch of VA but overshadowed by its length and depth. Glad I stumbled upon this! — 6 years ago

Stunning fruit filled flavour. Good depth and joyous with BBQ pork ribs + apple sweet potato bake! — 9 years ago
I donated my 3 bottles to a Rare and Collectible Shiraz Dinner at the Downs Club to go with a 2018 Wendouree Shiraz, 2022 Standish Lamella, 2020 Rockford Basket Press and a 2021 Langmeil Freedom. The Sami Odi Little Wine finished middle of the field in this stellar lineup. It was an unvintaged assemblage of 8 different vintages starting with 2022 (49%) through to 2015 (2%). Lush and medium bodied with fluid tannins and great length. Brambley. Fraser likes to drink Little Wine when young and fresh like this is now. Purchased 2 years ago in mid 2023. The consensus winner of the 5 wines was probably the Rockford or the Standish Lamella. Erin Larkin gave the latter 100 points. All 5 Shiraz were outstanding. — a year ago

Decantered for 2 hours, low tanins, not too acidic. Big, bold, smooth. — 5 years ago
" the wine was positively bursting with flavor, producing deep purple and crimson hues. Aromas of blueberry, plum & that signature Aussie eucalyptus. On the palate, this wine is big & juicy but doesn't overwhelm". One of the best wines to-date from the Bonner Private Wine Partnership — 6 years ago

Drinking Sparkling Shiraz is an absolute must on Christmas morning in Australia. In fact, it's close to law. However, certainly not the only time they enjoy it. As it's hard to find in the US and even harder to find a good one, I find it fun and a treat to drink. Fresh, ripe; blackberries, blueberries, black plum, black raspberries, a hint of spice, big acidity & Christmas cake. It's so fresh, delicious and easy to drink.
