Real solid Rhone. Let it breath a day but not more than two. — 5 years ago
Nice FLX Riesling with a bit of funk. Peaches and pears, with some skin contact adding body. A bit of oxidation lends a sherry-like character to it. — 6 years ago

Honey, oranges, mangoes, peaches. All the tropicals.
Ah man, Bloomer Creek just makes me happy. Every time I see their bottles at a retailer, I pretty much have to cop it. Today it was from Frankly Wines in TriBeCa.
Great selection and knowledge at this shop.
A little character in this one, reminding me a bit of an orange wine. Dry and got a nice minerality, but also a honeycomb sweetness and finally a bit of a zing (kind of like the herby citrusy crossover that pine needles have). I went on a guided hike in the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Biologist guide pointed out all the things we could eat in the forest. And we did. No one got sick. My dad told long, unnecessary stories to the other troop members. Ah, simpler times.
This is a glass where you close your eyes, everything else melts away, and you enjoy the simplicity, the balance, the crisp sips. — 5 years ago
