Clay and juicy cassis. Black olive. Tannins taste like an old varnished bureau. This is the wine that made me love wine again — especially French wine — and motivated me to start systematically tasting and making notes. Then of course my liquor store stopped carrying it. I was delighted to find a bottle while traveling. Still a wonderful value and delicious, though age would improve it. 92 or … 93! — 5 months ago
Had this at a forgotten bottle in your cellar party and it was like visiting an elegant mountain resort that has not been taken over by a corporation. Old fading elegance — a month ago

2018 surprisingly mature deep nose of cherry and spice good colour dark fruits, mellow tannins long finish quite surprised by my find at the local butchers for 18 £ — 3 years ago
This wine is inky dark in the glass. The nose is fairly beautiful, with a large whiff of black fruit like blackberry, blueberry, and currant dominating over the sniff of smoke and the note of graphite. The same sort of fruit is forward on the palate, and the tannic grip is enough, but not too much. It is a satisfying Bordeaux, and it worked well in my beef stew. — 4 months ago
Deep Ruby red color with aromas of ripe fruits with floral perfume and sweet earthy tones, Merlot dominant. On the palate flavors of blackberry and plum fruits, with pepper spice notes. Rich fine tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, floral and earthy spice character. Drink now! — 8 months ago

Blend of Merlot (80%) and Cabernet Franc (20%). Deep ruby color with purple highlights. Aromas of both red and black fruit, tobacco and violets. Flavors of red and black currant, blackberry and plum fruit, graphite and dark chocolate. Long and lingering finish. Medium-plus body. Excellent balance and structure. Quite bold and expressive, but very elegant as well. Soft tannins and velvety texture. Outstanding quality for the price. — 14 days ago
