The higher alcohol content of this wine made this slightly more bitter than I would like, but still quite good! Very good value. — 4 years ago
Tastes of blackberry and a little cocoa. The wine is velvety smooth with an excellent finish. This wine fights way above its weight. I agree with other users that it seems like a wine costing $25 or more, not $10. — 7 years ago

So subtle - dried orange peel, potpourri and creamed corn - a delight, thank Hugh — 8 years ago

The wine has a golden color. On the nose there’s a touch of smokiness with aromas of apple, pineapple, butter, caramel and walnut. It’s full bodied with a buttery mouthfeel but still has a sharp, piercing acidity. There’s flavors of pineapple, vanilla, banana and ginger. It finishes with some heat, spicy ginger, and pineapple. — 9 years ago

My last bottle of the 2012. Dense purple red. Plum, red fruit and a little earth/funk in the nose. Raspberry, boysenberry, plum and cola in mouth, tart, mild skin astringency on finish with lemon, plum and cola in aftertaste. A nice Central Coast Pinot with character, produced by Reluctant Wine Co. — 9 years ago

Bottle #2 from case and it has gained some structure and opened a bit in the last 1.5 years. Nose is great, reminds me a lot of last nights Pontet Canet on nose. Hint of tobacco, pencil leaf, red fruits currant, kirsch, and red berries. Great mouthfeel, great balance, and good structure. Looking forward to another in 2 years if I can wait! — 8 months ago
Forest floor, sour cherry and fennel on the nose. Dark fruit, light spice and black tea. Smoky oak finish — 5 years ago

Deep roots of Beaulieu were first planted back in 1900, when founder Georges de Latour noticed similarities with his native Bordeaux and declared the Napa Valley ideal for winemaking. A blend of 76% Cab Sauv, 13% Merlot, 11% of Cab Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec. Aromas of sweet dark berry fruit and earthy floral scents. On the palate blackberry and currants, spicy notes on full soft ripe tannins, nice mouthfeel, lingering finish ending with earthy mineral character. — 8 years ago
Great drinking, smooth, chewy — 9 years ago

I love Rosè from Bandol! Combination of Grenache, Mourvedre, and Cinsault lends to a bit of richness. Nice salinity. Herbs, raspberries, cantaloupe, and slate. Presents with a nice "your tongue is stuck" to the roof of your mouth finish. Really enjoyable for under $15! — 21 days ago
