I cannot put into words how delicious this dessert wine is. It’s lush and sweet, but beautifully balanced with an acidity and a clean finish that means it’s not overly sweet and infinitely drinkable. It’s the perfect choice for both the sweet toothed, and those who think they don’t like sweet wines. — 4 years ago
Excellent blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre and Tempranillo instead of Syrah. Works very well. I saw this described as “dusty fruits” which I take to mean earthy, and just slightly subdued. Relatively smooth and opens up nicely with air time. Will keep the other bottles for a while to see how the evolve. Another good effort from ONX wines out of Pasa Robles. Cheers — 6 years ago

Ok. MUCH better than the previous bottle which was a reticent bastard for some damned reason. This is the wine I loved.
Nose is earth and perfume. Gorgeous. Intoxicating. Lilacs ? God. I’m almost crying it’s so good. Ever changing - top level Nebbiolo nose.
As this open it’s Fucking volnay. It’s fucking volnay. Lilacs. A hint of candied lilacs. Amazing.
Palate is sweet cherry fruit. Jaw dropping texture. Incredibly juicy. Just juicy as hell so drinkably delicious for a wine of this level of elegance. Elegant like 1er cru burgundy.
Long as heck.

I quite enjoy this rose - light and fruity and not citrusy. — 7 years ago
Beautiful pale-clear straw robe. Nose of peach, passion fruit, melon and pine. Lightly savoury taste with a medium body and light, elegant tannins. Medium, fruity finish. Lovely. — 8 years ago
Slightly smokey - a real lovely surprise, goes down so smoothly and leaves a pleasant after taste - not sure why it is mentioned as being from France - wine of origin is Robertson South Africa and proudly so! — 10 years ago

More on the delicious end of the scale on open. Very fruity tangerine. Citrus. Awesomely mineral of course. Nice acidity. Lovely nose. As it opens becoming more serious. Rocky finish. ... fast forward 15 minutes. Ok ... now it’s liable. I’m chewing on rocks in a lemon vineyard. Best lemons ever. Sweet lemons with the acidity of regular lemons. Ok that makes no sense unless you are a lemon geek. Nose is insane. Gods lemon oil. Mad love. Bought from Fass Selections. — 8 years ago

Deep coloured robe with long legs. Nose of cigars, oak and plumb with hints of pepper. Round, almost sweet taste of plumbs, well balanced with tannins. Medium finish with lingering tannins. Lovely. — 9 years ago
One of three offerings from Mad Fritz last night @ NVWTG. Not usually a stout fan, I thoroughly enjoyed this well balanced brew. Wish I had snapped pics of the others! Great beer with a great story. Serious craftsmanship at work. — 10 years ago

The nose shows rich black and blue fruits. A full bodied Barossa Shiraz. A thick and luscious mouthfeel - a product of ancient vines planted in 1893. Blackberries finishing with fine tannins. I had a double magnum of this wine at my 70th birthday 3 years ago. Two Old Bastards in the one room!! Also one of the best Wine Labels going around. — 4 days ago
