Really strong. A lot of attitude — a year ago
Green pea and lemon, butternut and chive; a waxy Semillon essence, leek and white pepper. Perfect age here on a magnum, and shining incandescent. Garden melange on the palate showing baby spinach minus the tannin and crunchy sprouted barley but bouncing hard to lemon abcf citrus peel to deliver a creamy yet pithy framework that rings undeniably dry and lemongrass forever. Excellent in every way and singularly expansive. The DOCG is well -deserved and remarkable. Aloe and chayotes.

An earthy, savory, complex Lambrusco! I highly recommend it for those on the fence about Lambrusco — it’s a natural wine with some cherry flavors but it is not too fizzy or fruity. — 2 years ago

Dark and smoky, the 2013 Cretarossa shows ashen stone, blackberries, sage, underbrush and a spritz of tangerine. It’s silky in texture yet lifted and elegant, with a wave of black fruits coasting along a saline core of acids and minerals. What a wine and what a bargain. This is a Nebbiolo based blend from the far north of Piedmonte. Big, ripe, a bit tannic but very drinkable. And a 2009 library release just out for $22?! Will be back to get in volume. — 6 years ago
