This is a powerful wine, here is a lot of complexity in the bottle. A great structure and a robust mouth filling, the tannins a little softer then the last bottle way back but still firm. Great bottle of wine and some decades ahead, but not this one🤣😋 — 4 years ago

Blend of 46% Cabernet Sauvignon (young vines), 43% Merlot (older vines) and 11% Cabernet Franc, aged in 30% new French oak, deep Ruby red color, purple edges, with aromas of ripe dark fruits, spice and herbs. Blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc, deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, smoke and flinty notes, aged 40% new French oak. On the palate flavors of blackberry and black cherry with cacao, cedar, espresso and spicy notes. Lively acidity, firm dusty tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, tobacco and spicy oak. Dark rubi robe, nose of blackcurrant, cedar-wood, exotic spices. Very very merlot, ripe but not over, its a high octane wine that shows a bit of its 15 degrees on the finish. Not our favorite vintage but the wine is super well done and might benefit from a few more years on bottle. — 3 months ago

Château Léoville Las Cases ‘La Petite Marquise’ Saint-Julien 2018: Medium-full bodied. Medium-high acidity. Noticeable tannins that mellowed out over time. Deep purple in color. Tasting notes of blackberry, plum, strawberry, cedar & oak. Smooth warm finish. All in all, a rich & delicious Saint-Julien wine however very worthy of additional years of cellaring.
