why didn’t I know this producer earlier? Found these bottles recently but only have some recent vintages since I’m new to Moreau. This wine punches well above its weight. Beautiful floral and citrus bouquet, but the mouthfeel is amazing, like liquid mercury, thick and dense while lithe and graceful. The flavors are superb, orchard fruit, lemon zest. The balance and length are impressive. Great wine. — 6 years ago

2021 Domaine Lorenzon Mercury Le Chapitre — 2 years ago
young but wanted to try since the wife ordered white burgundy and Boillot is occasionally premoxed. Not this bottle. Started out quiet, took a little time to unfurl and then: wow. Really great soft layered texture, like drinking mercury. Very intense and concentrated citrus and minerals, steely like CC should be, acid that tightens up the whole package and drives it like a laser into and through the palate. Then it just fans out and hits every nook and cranny. Fireworks! Super wine. — 2 years ago
I love this wine and will always sell it. Not many people share my passion for this wine. Still, I’ll always sell it. An unreal nose of raspberry spice cake that is so good. Heavenly. Big time herbs de Provence. Clay. Graphite as well. This is 60% Mourvèdre, 25% Syrah and 15% Grenache. Mint. Lurid black and red berry. This is my favorite southern Rhone wine and it is not close. This is my southern Rhone DRC. Impossibly complex and captivating nose. You cannot stop smelling it. Oh my god. Mercury must be in retrograde tonight as all wines showing sick. Holy elegance. Just so elegant. This is 15%! You would not know. Amazing purity. Such clarity. For people interested this is natural wine as Marcel Richaud is as important to natural wine as Lapierre or Chauvet. This is his piece de resistance. Best one I’ve had since 2010. I cannot believe how juicy and elegant this is. It glides. So so so so good. — 5 years ago

1990 vintage. Bottom neck fill. Excellent cork. Decanted with appropriate sed. Slightly darker color than all the 1990 BDX I've tasted in the last year. Initial, slight funk on the nose that dissipated rapidly. Tasted immediately after decant, 1 hour and 2 hours later. Started softly but then brought out that big, Lagrange stick. Cedar, smoke, plum, leather, mercury, distilled dark cherry, summer pond mud. Displayed better balance throughout than expected with good staying power. Based on this excellent sample, will be shopping for more. Could hold in this spot for another half-decade before recalibrating. 12.5.25. — 9 days ago
