Bottled lightning. Concentrated mineral. Lemon, grapefruit pith, slate, honeyed pear, white flowers, sweet hay. — 3 years ago
So clean and balanced. Not a complex wine, but just a perfect balance of only a mild sweetness followed by minerality and mild acidity. A Golden Mean in all its flavors. White fruit flavors. A paradigm of Mosel Riesling. Extraordinary QPR. — 4 years ago
Semi-dry and very crushable - apple, peach, honey — 5 years ago
@Delectable Wine This is the Nik Weis Gefen Hashalom Ockfener Saar Riesling. This is a special Kosher bottling of a beautiful Kabinett Riesling, fresh and juicy with tropical fruit/tart pineapple and mineral on the back. — 6 years ago
After only ten years, this one had lost some of its zing; it was a little earthy, but still full of acidity. Paired it with cherry almond cheesecake, and it didn’t have the upfront burst of sweetness to stand up properly. — 2 years ago
Deep ruby. Dark sweet plum, salty and floral. The palate is med-full bodied, med acidity, soft-med tannin. There is a dark savoury element that gives the wine gravitas. Beautiful balance. Power without weight. Powerful and beautiful. — 3 years ago
I think the 2016 is even better! — 4 years ago
Beautiful, fruity and full bodied. — 5 years ago
The Clos Pegase label features Pegasus, painted circa 1890 by the French artist Redon. Pale lemon with aromas of fresh fruit and floral scents. On the palate apple and melon flavors, creamy with pronounced oak and citrus notes. Medium finish, good balance ending with fruit and oak character. Still tasting well. Good value! We just tasted beside a Stags Leap, Pegase won, and it’s $5 cheaper!! Nice!! — 6 years ago
Delicious- dry crisp and interesting — a year ago
Incredible value! Subtle sweetness with honey and apple! — 3 years ago
Vintage 2018 | Ooooph, this is an impressive wine: extremely expressive smell with spices and flint, well balanced taste with good concentration. The sommelier told that the wine comes from grapes harvested late from high vineyards. | Paired with langoustine and chanterelles | at restaurant Alma in Oisterwijk — 5 years ago
Phenomenal, sweet to be paired with spicy, possibly Asian cuisine — 5 years ago
