smooth and brilliant complex taste, with or without food. which I bought some more over there in France. — 3 years ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. The 2021 “Dionysos” pours a deep ruby/purple color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of cassis, violets, horse blanket, poblano pepper, graphite and limestone minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. Fresh, funky, delicious Cabernet Franc. Drink now through 2031. — 3 months ago
Searsons, first St Nicolas de B for awhile, cracking cabernet franc, all the usual characters love it. — a year ago
Totally surprised that this held up as well as it has. Pure and expressive Cab Franc. A joy. — 2 years ago

Opened yesterday, drank over 2 days.
The nose is very fruity and intense with dark cherry touches, earthy notes, some raspberry and blackberry scents too. I could even smell some peony notes too. This is really inviting. The palate is wide and long and quite complex. A good acid drive, some dark cherry notes all along, some very soft and easy going mouthfeel that is changing in mid palate with a great tannic wall, which adds a layer of dust over an otherwise quite juicy and fruity finish. In the back-end though, there is a tiny savoury note that pops along with a subtle bitterness. This is really my kind of cab franc. Really good stuff! — 2 years ago

vintage 2016 | Odd experience. With 10 y I thought this to be a perfect wine for my Sunday dinner. When my wife and I tasted it we were making funny faces to each other. Verdict: undrinkable. We put it back in the bottle and I took it to a blind tasting with friends. They appreciated the wine. With 72+ hours air the wine came to life. Nice cab franc characteristics. — 23 days ago
