Tensley

Colson Canyon Vineyard Syrah 2008

Rich red fruits, despite the 15% ABV, this smells and tastes like a cool climate Syrah (my vague recollection was that 2008 was a cooler year, though this vineyard usually produces the ripest and most high-octane Syrah in the Tensley stable), nice balance, lingering finish, very fine!’ — 10 days ago

Great, thanks a lot for the feedback!!! I will check for the other references but I must admit that US wines are not that much available in Belgium. However, Ravenswood is sold at my local wineshop though

@Anthony De Blasi, you say Ravenswood is sold at your local shop (and I apologize last night for not realizing you’re in Belgium) — note that the really inexpensive Ravenswood Zin is just so-so, try one of the single vineyard to get a better feel.

Au Bon Climat

Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir 2023

Clear, pale ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with medium intensity primary and secondary aromas of raspberries, pomegranates, and cloves; on the palate, it's dry with high acidity, low tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, and pronounced intensity primary and secondary flavors of cherries, cranberries, dried leaves, and hibiscus with a long finish. This wine is complex and balanced. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. Nellie likes it too. — 18 days ago

One of my favorites. I think the Cabernet Sauvignon is a little better. This one is so very smooth. Don’t know how to describe taste. — 2 months ago

Hirsch Vineyards

San Andreas Fault Pinot Noir 2021

Very cherry driven almost over the top. Raspberry and a touch of crushed marble. Definitely a wine which will please. But it lacks the earthiness of the 2016. Super juicy. Low %. Overall this is a nice example of a CA Pinot - which just wants to please unfortunately to much ….and perhaps trying to be a burgh in the process - but this vintage ain’t it. — 3 months ago
